They are having an anniversary sale of 25% ATM and buying from JRRshop with "group" discount code gets it down to $189 (In cart) for the full version. Feels like the next step for bass beyond samples. Has some great sounding basses that sit well in a mix and be easily sculpted to taste due to the modeling. Also some eq is needed to get it to sit will in a mix since the lows and low mids are so heavy, but I suppose that depends how dense your songs are.Īnother product to consider Modo, a modeled bass. which is why it's so great it has many versions of each sampled bass with different combos of articulations. Many times I find using basses in Trilian with less samples (and less extra noises) work better. Many basses to choose from and even many of the older ones that take up much less processing power sound nice. But the marketing of them is even better, so one has to be critical. The Spectrasonics sounds are great for sure, and thousands of musicians use them with great success. Probably you have to make a closer evaluation on your own, since it might turn out as a disappoinment. To make it short: It's a personal thing, i guess.
#Trilian bass masgesy update
In my DAW i could easily layer 200 bass sounds, if i wanted to.Īfter there was no update to 64bit, only the option to upgrade to Trillian, i decided to close that chapter. I don't understand until today why this should be so extraordinary. Then again, other Bass samples are equal/better.Īnd then there was something which quite confused me: the option to layer two different bass sounds was praised as a fantastic feature. The Upright Bass was quite good, i used that a lot. Wasn't very convincing and made me realize that i have a "real" E-Bass which gives me more options (of course, it needs a bit of practising). Then there were some E-Basses that came with 2 round robins per note. There were tons of sampled analogue basses, but somehow i didn't like the filters that came with the plug in so much.Īnd soon i realized that i prefer it either to work with the real analogues or with other plug ins as Zebra. In my reality, it didn't served my workflow/my needs as much as i had expected. I had the predecessor of Trillian which was Trilogy.Īccording to the mouthwatering marketing it was the revolutionary solution to all bass duties.
